Grandparents Breakfast

Some of our sweet grandparents came to visit and ate breakfast with us! They enjoyed cinnamon rolls in the cafeteria before school and came to our class for morning announcements and DEAR time. We sure did love having our special visitors!

The Kissing Hand

During our first week of school, we read a special book called The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn. In this story Chester the Racoon is starting school and is sad to leave his mother. She kisses his hand and told him to hold it to his cheek when he thinks of her. It's one of my favorite books to read at the beginning of the year! We made our own Kissing Hands for our parents.

We curled the fingers to make the "I love you" sign :)
