Westarted out our Owl unit with a K-W-L chart. We listed facts we Know already about Owls, then asked questions about what we Wanted to learn and then wrote new inofrmation we Learned from the nonfiction books we read. The kids thought it was crazy that owls cannot move their eyes like we do, that's why they have to move thier neck.
Then my little loves did their owl writing activity. They had to color their owl to campflauge in the forest trees, then write 5 facts that they learned.
They worked really hard and were very proud of their work hanging in the hallway!
